It began as just another paranormal investigation.

A small team of ghost hunters entered the historic Burlington County Prison Museum after dark, hoping to document the spirits rumored to linger within its stone walls and centuries-old cells. But deep inside the prison, their equipment began registering something they had never encountered before. One particular cell was alive with unexplained energy—voices where no one stood, impossible readings, and something that seemed to be answering them from the other side.

Determined to make contact, the investigators conducted one final experiment. Whatever they did, it worked far better than they ever intended. For a brief moment, a doorway opened between our world and somewhere else—a dark, ghostly realm filled with restless spirits and things that were never meant to cross over. When the portal closed, some of those things were already on our side.

The investigators were never seen leaving the prison. Whether they disappeared through the portal, fell victim to what escaped from it, or now wander the halls among the dead is unknown. What is known is that something has changed inside the old prison. The cells are no longer empty. The shadows move. The dead are restless. And some of the things now lurking within those walls may never have been human at all.

This October, the doors open again. Enter the Burlington County Prison Museum and discover what came through during… A Haunting on High Street..
